Fire-fighters & community members efforts recognised at annual ‘night of nights’

Fire-fighters & community members efforts recognised at annual ‘night of nights’

A number of our volunteers were recognised for their ongoing contribution to the CFA at our annual mid-year dinner last night. Over 80 people attended our annual dinner and were treated to a lovely three course meal at the Riddells Creek Hotel.

Those members who had made a significant contribution to the brigade during the past year were congratulated with the following awards:

  • Rob Sanderson – Fire-fighter of the year

  • Bethany White – 1st Lieutenants encouragement award

This year we were also joined by some very special guests who had made significant financial contributions to the brigade during the past year, especially with respect to helping us fundraise for the new fire truck. While the annual mid year dinner has previously been a chance for our volunteers to be recognised for their efforts, this time we also thanked a number of community groups for their financial support – each of which were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation.

The formalities didn’t end there with the presentation of long service awards to the following brigade members:

  • Terri Boydle – 25 year long service medal

  • Nick Tschuck – 20 year long service medal

  • Dean Anderson – 10 year long service medal

  • Steph Schade – 10 year long service medal

  • Wayne Goodes – 10 year long service medal

  • Tim Bootle – 5 year Certificate of Service
